Iām a postdoc at Forests and Societies lab in CIRAD, Montpellier (France). My current work aims at integrating local knowledge, quantitative social data, and ecological data to understand the spatial dynamics of hunting in tropical forests. This is part of the SWM project in Gabon funded by the FAO and EU.
Overall, my research focuses on applied biodiversity conservation, with a particular interest in interdisciplinary approaches using statistical ecology and social sciences to work with stakeholders and to inform public policies. In particular, Iām interested in the construction of ecological knowledge and its legitimacy for biodiversity decision-making, adopting a reflexive posture about development and use of statistical models. Iām ongoing various projects that aimed at investigating the human dimensions of social conflicts associated with wildlife.
